A jackpot owner has reportedly stabbed a 32-year-old man at Pakyi No 1 in the Ashanti Region over an amount of GHC 200 which he allegedly won in a jackpot.
According to the wife of the deceased, Maame Serwaa, her late husband, Kofi Nyamekye was stabbed in the neck by one Isaac, also known as Mystical over the said amount which he allegedly won after staking a Chinese jackpot which the latter operated.
She explained that her late husband won the jackpot but the suspect who has absconded refused to reward him him that the said amount resulting into a fight.
Mystical after noticing that that Kofi Nyamekye was bleeding to death fled the scene and has since not been seen.
“This result in a fight, Mystical tried to cut my late husband with a knife but he succeeded in over-powering him and tried to flee the scene. Whiles on his way, he called him, when he turned back, he slit his throat leading him to bleed to death…,” she narrated.
The lifeless body of Kofi Nyamekye was covered by onlookers who later assisted the Police in conveying the body to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for preservation.
The Widow has appealed to the general public to help find the murderer of her deceased husband.
