Ghanaians can now access Ghana Health Service website with zero data – Ursula Owusu

Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu has announced that Ghanaians can now access the Ghana Health Service website with zero data.

During a press briefing today, April 14, 2020, Mrs. Owusu stated that telecommunications networks in Ghana have agreed to absorb data charges when accessing the Ghana Health Service website designed for giving update on no the novel coronavirus in the country.

She further mentioned that Ghanaians who resort to the 112 coronavirus emergency number is also toll free.

Ursula Owusu also disclosed MTN & Vodafone have been given an extra spectrum for free for 3 months to ease the congestion within their networks (internet). Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, however, wants subscribers to modify the use of data; eg. limit movie downloads and read a book.
