“It’s the government’s job not mine” – Burna Boy on helping the poor and needy

Renowned Nigerian afrobeat star, Burna Boy has stated that it is not his responsibility to make the lives of the poor and needy better during this coronavirus pandemic.

The African Giant clapped back at fans who called him out on social media for neglecting his fans and people from his community as hardship looms in Nigeria.

In an exchange on twitter, a tweep asked the musician to go back to his community to do something meaningful for them during this Coronavirus pandemic.

“We don’t need you live here go back to your community and do something meaningful to them during this hard time of corona virus.”, the Twitter user wrote.

Without mincing words, the singer said it was not his job to do so but rather the government’s. Burna Boy replied; “Even though I do my best for as many as I can (and I urge everyone who can to do the same), the fact that I do it does not mean it’s my job, hat is the Government’s Job not mine. So don’t come here to advice me, advice your government and see if they answer you”.
