Today January 5th marked the final State of the Nation Address announced by the president-elect, Nana Addo Danqua Akuffo Addo.

The honorable sitting took place in the chambers of the Parliament house earlier this morning.
To touch on the issue of the contesting of the 2020 Presidential elections by the NDC, the president congratulated the former president John Dramani Mahama for choosing a legal path to make his concerns heard.
The president however stressed the issue of National peace and stability. In Nana Addo’s address, he talked about how Ghana has come too far in terms of preserving its sovereign democracy and therefore cannot risk the peace and stability of the nation for any reason.
The NDC filed a petition to the Supreme Court to challenge the results of the elections. This action was applauded by the president in his address.
