VGMA 16 artist of the year winner, EL has revealed that he is now focusing on important things and not Ghana Music Awards.
The rapper has been struggling to get hit songs after he won artist of the year in 2016 with “Mina Bo Po”.
Reacting to why he shifted his attention from the VGMA, the rapper revealed that VGMA is just an award and there are more important things than awards.
“VGMA is an award but there are important things than award. When you get to the I am now you will realize there are more important things. When you win an award it’s a plus, people will see you and recognize you for winning. But there are important things that’s why I’m not focusing on VGMA again”, he told Amansan Krakye on Radio Central.
According to critics, 2016 VGMA stole the artist of the year from high life singer Bisa Kdei to EL.
It was revealed Bisa Kdei worked harder than all the nominated artists but he sadly lost and since then both of them are missing out and couldn’t get any nominations in the 20th edition this year.
