The nominees for the 2019 VGMA Artiste of the year has been released by Charter House Ghana.
The 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards will be the 20th edition of the award scheme designed to recognize, celebrate the hard work and dedication of various stakeholders and players in the music industry.
The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA ) is the biggest awards scheme on the musical calendar that’s held annually to celebrate musicians.
The ‘Artiste Of The Year Award’ is the highest award of the night and all artistes are keenly eyeing the topmost award. Over the years, the number of hit songs released by the artistes, the number of shows organized or played by the artiste and how successful those shows were, how relevant the artiste has been to the music industry under the year of review and most importantly the number of votes cast in favor of the artiste all counts towards the eventual winning of the enviable award of the night.
The late Ebony Reigns was awarded with this topmost award during the 2018 VGMA even though she died before the main event. She was very hardworking and released hits after hits before the 2018 VGMA.
