Leader and Founder of Rock Hill Church, Dr Sonnie Badu has reacted to recent calls by various governments for the closure of Churches in the quest to regulate public gatherings.

Various Governments, especially in infected countries, have put in place measures to regulate public gatherings to avoid the spread of the virus.

Here in Ghana, the President, H.E Nana Akufo Addo in his address to the Nation on how the government plans on fighting coronavirus called for the closure of schools and all public places including churches for the next four weeks.

Many spiritual leaders in the country have reacted to this with some churches operating on social media.

Elsewhere in Atlanta, USA, Dr Sonnie Badu has called on men of God to rise and fight a strong battle. According to the gospel musician who is now a pastor, he has never heard of any pandemic strong enough to close down churches.

He hinted that the coronavirus is a demon since only demons try to close down churches and prevent the word of God from spreading.

In addition, he advised men of God to engage God in prayers in order to win this battle.

He said; “I admonish all men of God to arise. if this demon can close down churches then we have a big problem. Never have I seen or heard anything such as this in my life … Let us engage God in prayers. Let us stand in the gap and cry mercy,.
Online service is a temporary solution but trust me, it’s another device of the enemy and it will hunt the body of Christ after this plague is gone… People will opt to rather stay home than be In church in the long run.
However, if we engage God in prayers and win this battle, faith will rise again .. Let us engage God in warfare prayers .. mercy mecry .. #DrBadu
