Sarkodie told Abeiku Santana, and hundreds who tuned it to listen to him, that he used his fan base to gain grounds in the industry with the help of a few platforms that were available to him during the early stage of his career.

The rapper hinted that the acceptance from his fan base made him what and who he is today.

He put it on record that he started building fan bases even before Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and other musicians followed.

For the record, I was the first artist in Ghana who used the people to come into the industry. I didn’t come into the industry through the industry gates. I used the industry platform but how I dominated the game, I used the people because there weren’t many avenues for me to showcase what I had aside Adom Fm so I used the people and then I created the whole fan base thing and now every artist I jumping on the fan base thing“, he said.
