Today, July 6 2022 marks exactly 8 years since Castro drowned in the Ada river with his friend Janet Bandu.
This day in history reflect an omen that befell Ghana’s entertainment circle.
Popular hiplife musician and Takoradi-based, Theophilus Tagoe who was known as Castro, and his friend Janet Bandu met their untimely death (drowned) at Ada Estuary.
Till date they have not been seen. Section of the Ghanaian public do not accept that the legend is no more as account to their demise can not be fathomed
Per the dictate of the constitution they were publicly declared dead on July 6 2021 as it marked exactly seven years since they went missing.
According to the evidence Act 1975, section 33 of the Constitution, when a person has not been heard of or found for seven years despite diligent effort whether or not within that period, to find that person, that person is presumed to be dead.
On the 6th of July 2014, Castro De Destroyer and Janet Bandu were reported to have drowned following a jet ski accident in Ada Estuary while on holiday with the Ghanaian football star, Asamoah Gyan.
Following the distasteful incident, the families of the two together with Ghanaians, sympathizers, and well-wishers officially declare their demise on the 6th of July 2021.
8 years are gone, but the families are still grieving their loss.
