Charles Nii-Armah Mensah better known as Shatta Wale has recounted how Sarkodie gave him his first appearance on a big stage after coming back from hibernation.
Formerly known as Bandana, the dancehall musician went on hibernation after releasing the famous Moko Hoo album in 2004. Bandana went missing in the music circus for nearly a decade until rebranding Himself in 2013 as Shatta Wale.
Shatta Wale in an old video that has once again gone viral on social media due to settled brawl with Sarkodie recounted how the rapper gave him his biggest show after his comeback.
Shatta said in the video sighted by Gossips24.com that he used to perform on stages made with sapele wood after his comeback until Sarkodie invited him to perform at his annual concert, Rapperholic for the first time.
According to Shatta, performing at Rapperholic was a dream come true and it was after then that the name Shatta Wale became solid with a movement attached to it.
Though it is an old video, netizens have been sharing the video to remind the dancehall artist of how Sark made an impact in his career.
