According to one facebook user with the profile name (Nana Yaw), he foolishly used all his salary to purchase a phone for his then girlfriend who broke up with him the following year.

Reading from Nana Yaw’s comment, he purchased a Nokia Asha phone which was very popular in 2013 for his girlfriend and had to ask for salary advance to sustain him till the month elapsed.
