Ghanaian musician Kwame Yogot has come out to make a very shocking revelation about how leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) offered him a huge amount of money to use his popular song “Biibi Besi” for their campaign.
Kwame yogot who was speaking during an interview with Abieku Santana on okay FM stated that he was offered an amount of GH₵500,000 for his song to be used in their 2024 campaign.
According to him, though the offer was brought to him, it could not be finalized as he was having issues with his manager at the time who demanded for Ghc1 million but due to the nature of the issue he decided not to pursue it further.
It can be recalled that the musician came out to express his displeasure when his song was used by Vice president Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and his team during an interview where he stated that the song required a lot of finances to bring it to life therefore they should have come forward for them to talk things out before they stated using it as their campaign song.
