Award-winning Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson has for the first spoken about her love life and the reason why she is still unmarried.
Actress Yvonne Nelson has revealed the reason why she turned down a marriage proposal from her fiance when she was age 30.
Sharing her story in an interview with host Okyeame Quophi on Angel FM, Yvonne Nelson revealed that her fiance proposed marriage to her on her 30th birthday, however upon further consideration, she returned the ring because of her expectation was not met.
The mother of one disclosed that she did not want to get married and opt-out in the future because she was not ready enough to carry the cross.
She added that she also did not want to waste the time of her former fiance, hence had to opt out.
On my 30th birthday, I had a ring and I returned it. So it is not a do or die…marriage is not something I want to go in and leave. Someone proposed to me, I was dating”.
“Because I felt I wasn’t ready yeah. I don’t want to cheat on anyone, I don’t want to lie to anyone. It’s a very sensitive thing.
I someone wants to marry you and know the society, it should be someone you really want to share your life with forever. You know there is no turning back” Yvonne said.
