 Award-winning Ghanaian songstress and entrepreneur born Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah but professionally known as Mzbel has revealed in an exclusive interview with Amansan Krakye that she has invested a lot into business because I don’t want to be a beggar when she grows old.

According to Mzbel, she’s a living witness to many showbiz personalities who went extremely broke after their careers sunk hence she has learnt from their predicaments and won’t allow such fate to happen to her also.

Mzbel said;

It’s unfortunate that someone who lived a prominent life as a musician, travelled to several countries and now the person is old or sick and we have to beg for aid to help that person.

I realized that it could be the system that doesn’t favour us so I took a break to invest in other businesses so that in future when I become old it wouldn’t be that people will have to do contribution to help me go to the hospital,” she added.

When you observe how some illustrious icons in Ghana become old and get sick and we have to announce for people to do donation or come to their aid, sometimes its very disgraceful, disgusting and sorrowful

In the middle of the discussion, Mzbel also added that one of the many reasons why she has established a lot is the zeal to employ many of the unemployed graduates who have become a burden to their parents.

Apart from that we don’t have a lot of jobs in Ghana so it’s a way of creating jobs for a few people so basically that’s the main reason why I started investing in other businesses instead of the music alone

In line with Mzbel’s submissions, she finds it very disgraceful and unfortunate to read in the news that stars who once who lived a prominent lives and travelled to several countries are now old or sick and they have no other option than to beg on the internet.
