Although he has been missing in action and would need a big song for his comeback like Tic did with his Kwani Kwani remix which featured Kuami Eugene, Hiplife artiste, Okomfo Kwadee, says he won’t be collaborating with the new crop of musicians because he is still the best.

“I know Ghanaians will say the likes of Kuami Eugene, King Promise, KiDi and Kwesi Arthur are the ones trending but I don’t see myself doing any collaboration with them. Rather they should come to me,”

he told Showbiz at his Ashongman Estates base recently.

According to Kwadee, he does not see the impact the likes of Kuami Eugene and KiDi will add to his music career.

“Kwadee has paid his dues in the music industry and anyone who knows music can tell that I don’t need hype from anyone to do good songs. Chiefs and prominent people listen to my music, hence the reason why everyone loves Kwadee’s music,” he said.

On what he is up to this year, Kwadee said he had just released two new singles, Gye Wani and Fa Wo Nsa Gu Wuti and is planning to release more songs before the year ends.

He revealed that people had been telling him he needed to change his style because he was irrelevant now.

“I have had people telling me to change my style but that is not going to happen because I am unique. Other artistes have tried to copy my style because I made a great impact with my music. I don’t follow trends and that is why I have massive support,” he said.

With songs like Ofie Nipa, Yeko Mmaa Pe, Abrantie, Wotaataa Me, Obiara Ba Nnye, Ahwedee Abena, Meba Mo Nkyen, Obaa No, Boys Boys and Wo Ky3, Kwadee said as long as his target audience loved his style of music, he would keep doing that.

“The current trend of music is not my style and those who know Kwadee know what I stand for, quality music is what I do,” he said.

Kwadee also told Showbiz he has not been treated fairly by Ghanaians especially when he had issues with his health.

“I don’t want to go into details what happened to me but the comments I heard were very bad. Although a few people showed appreciation, the majority said unpleasant things about me,” he said.
