I could feel my ancestors on me – Steve Harvey says after trip to Elmina and Cape Coast castles

American actor, comedian and TV host Steve Harvey who is currently visiting Ghana with his family, has shared how emotional his journey to the infamous “slave castles” in  Elmina  and Cape Coast has been.

“This was real pain I felt going back to Ghana’s slave castles…I could feel my ancestors on me… Powerful beyond words that I can explain. I encourage as many of you as possible to go HOME for your ancestors,” Harvey said in a post on Instagram.

The family were captured in emotional moments as they walked the floors of the slave castles which housed 100s of slaves in the then Gold Coast.
