Young Ghanaian musician Bernard Nana Appiah popularly known in Showbiz as Pure Akan has expressed how happy he is to be receiving much love from the general public.

According to Akan, there seems to be no hope for the kind of music he does when he started his music career. He said the ‘fear’ made him sometimes feel that no one is listening to his music until he traveled to Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

He said people in Kumasi have shown him more love and support in his music career than any other region in the country and he really loves traveling and staying in the Garden City.

Recounting one incident, Akan stated he was shocked and surprised when a commercial driver (trotro driver) packed his car full of passengers by the roadside just to meet him in person and greet/ hug him.

He added that people normally dash him a huge sum of money on the streets of Kumasi and he really appreciates the love and support he’s now receiving from the entire public in general in his music career.

Akan is currently promoting his second studio album titled ‘Nyame Mma’ which has 17 songs and features top-level Ghanaian artists like Bosom P-Yung and multi-talented Ghanaian star Ayisi popularly known as A.I.

He had a very successful debut album in 2017 titled ‘Onipa Akoma’ which received a lot of attention from Ghanaians and music lovers around the globe.
