DJ Slim is the first showbiz critic to find fault with Gyakie’s lyrical prowess although she has been ticked as the next Efya of the local music industry.
Although Gyakie has broken boundaries with her spanking hot single dubbed “Forever” but DJ Slim believes that its time she works on her craft and puts more energy plus variations into her songs.
As firmly argued by DJ Slim of DJ Slim of ABN’s Radio One – He only plays Gyakie’s songs on the radio because her fans request for it and not because she’s a better singer with quality songs.
In a video that is fast trending on the internet, DJ Slim can be heard saying;
Gyakie to me is not even a recording artiste or she’s just being lazy. I only play her ‘forever’ song on the radio not because it’s good to me but some people like it. But if you listen to all her songs, they are flat, but there’s so much hype around her...
DJ Slim further that charged Gyakie to seriously work on her craft very well else the hype won’t sustain her in the music industry because hype is ephemeral.
