Ghanaian hip-hop artiste, Maradona Yeboah Adjei , better known as Guru has introduced a new genre of music which will be known as the ‘Afrorock’ genre.
According to the musician, Guru, he is looking forward to project Ghanaian music to the world with his new genre of music.
In a series of Tweets, the CEO of NKZ music also stated he will be dropping his first single under the new genre very soon.
He further called on Ghanaians to show their unending support and make this genre a solid one for Ghana.
He tweeted; “Starting a new genre of music in 2020 It’s just different n i hope u guys will love it to the world….need to change the vibe. It will stand with the help of ya all time LOVE n SUPPORT.now welcome u guys to my new discovery genre of music @afrorockmusic“
From a reader’s understanding, the Afrorock music will obviously be a fusion of Afrobeats and Rock.
Just like Stonebwoy is the originator of Afro-Dancehall genre, Guru will also become the originator of the Afrorock genre.
