Maame Yaa Aboagye, NPP’s Deputy Communications Director has fired Stephen Atubiga, a member of the NDC over some comments he made concerning the breaking of the death news of former President JJ Rawlings.
Mr. Atubiga in a Facebook post, had questioned why the family of the late former President decided to break the news first to the President and not the NDC party that he founded.
According to him, it was a breach of protocol for the family to have done that.
Maame Yeboah, who was unhappy about the comments from Atubiga gave him a strong and hot reply saying that he needed to grow up because Rawlings used to be the President of Ghana and not the NDC.
“Can’t we all grieve in peace, for God sake the late former President is not a private individual but an asset to the State and must accord him as such? I believe the family going to the Presidency is an official notice to the State, and not the NPP because he (late Rawlings) was a Statesman and is normal the President at the time of his death be told first before anyone else.
Before the NDC, there was other political parties such PNDC. Each of them had members and leaders. Must the family go to each of these to discuss burial? He was President to Ghanaian and not to NDC
“The late Rawlings is the Ex-President of the Republic of Ghana and anything that concerns him is taken care of by the State…This is not a matter of NPP and NDC politics’ so grow up‘, She jabbed.
