Many people were seen gathering outside a building which is alleged to be the headquarters of Loom in Lagos.
Recall, that Loom Investment is a Ponzi Scheme which involves a Peer to Peer Method without any central bank or visible investment.
Last Month, the Central Bank of Nigeria warned against those investing in the scheme, alarming them of imminent scam and that it won’t last for a long time.
However, when investors visited their head office in Lagos on 15th June 2019, they claimed that no staff has been on ground since last week and they had gathered there to demand for their money.
In Ghana, the Economic and Organised Crime Office, EOCO, is warning the public against the new ‘susu’ investment online called Loom.
EOCO in it latest press release said the scheme is a “scam” and “the general public is cautioned to desist from investing and patronizing the Loom.”
But some Ghanaians have taken the risk upon themselves to patronize and engage in Loom.
With the way things are going, definitely an instance of this sort will occur in Ghana and we will see it in the news soon.
