An impoverished schoolboy’s ‘Our Day‘ photo went viral on social media, bringing him good fortune. Daniel, the youngster in the famous photo, was seen eating fufu during his school’s ‘Our Day’ celebrations.
Daniel’s photo garnered notice and began to trend online due to his unconventional choice of cuisine for such occasions.
In the midst of the trend, a Ghanaian man based in Canada decided to extend his benevolence to young Daniel and adopt him hence asked for his whereabouts and actual location.
Wendy Boatemaa Ofori, a Facebook user-assisted in the search for the young kid. According to Ofori, Daniel is a student at the Nkwantapong D/A Primary School in the Ashanti Region’s Bosome Freho District.
According to Wendy to travelled to the boy’s village, Daniel’s mother is mentally challenged and he had earlier requested for rice but since his mother was unwell, a close neighbour gave him fufu.
After the boy was discovered, Owusu Afriyie, the man who pledged to fund Daniel’s college education, disclosed that another man was interested in adopting Daniel and relocating him to Canada.
