A student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) has been said to have absconded after leaving a suicide note for losing a whooping GH200k to online trading.
According to reports the lady whose name was identified as Nancy Asante Bannor was said to have introduced the online forex trading to a lot of her church members as well as friends who gave her money to invest in it for them.
The GIJ student who lost the money after stocks went down was said to have left a suicide note in which she revealed that she had lost thousands of cedis and the best option for her now is to end her life.
Roommates of the student who come back from church service Monday night saw a note from their friend narrating her ordeal as she claimed she can’t deal with the disgrace.
An excerpt of the suicide letter read saying;
” I don’t know what the night has for me and what awaits me but the only thing I pray for now is death and nothing else. Please tell God to forgive me and if possible give me another chance. I can’t kill myself at home that’s why I came back and I can’t do it here as well. Please forgive me”.
