A majority of Ghanaians on social media have reacted to the number of properties that Mr. Eugene Arhin has allegedly acquired since he became a politician.
According to the wife of Mr Arhin, Mrs Gloria Assan Arhin, his husband, who was a research analyst at the Danquah institute was earning a salary lower that hers.
She also stated in her divorce suit that Mr. Eugene Arhin used to live in a rented house, and was later forced to live with his wife in his sister’s house.
“That after the said marriage, the parties cohabited in their rented apartment and subsequently moved in to live with petitioners sister and then later to a rented place of their own all within Accra” – point 2 of the Petition of Mrs. Gloria Assan Arhin read.
It will surprise you to know that Mrs Arhin listed about 38 immovable properties under point 23 of the petition which includes; a five bedroom property at East – Legon in Accra, A four storey building comprising of 16 separate flats, an ongoing 16 separate flats/apartments at Tuba-Weija, a storey building comprising of apartments at Teshie in Accra, a residential property at the AU village at La in Accra, a residential building at Senya Breku, a water front residential property at Ada Foah, and a barbering shop at Teshie.
As if these were not enough, she also mentioned a list of movable properties; one Ford F150, a Toyota Avalon, Toyota Lexus, Toyota Tundra, and a Hyundai Elantra.
Per the suit, Mrs Gloria Arhin alleged that Mr Eugene Arhin acuqired all these properties during his term as Communications Director at the Presidency.
