Yesterday happened to be a very sad day for most Ghanaians as many walked long distances to their place of work after drivers decided to embark on a nationwide strike.
According to reports, the strike by the transport companies was due to the fact that the government had increased the prices of fuel which to them was making things very hard.
The Ghana police after hearing about the ordeal of passengers who take public transport to work released their buses to transport people to the various places where they were going.
A total of 18 buses were made available to freely transport school children and elderly people and some stranded people to their destinations.
The act of the Ghana police services led to many heaping praises on the IGP Akufo Dampare for his kind heart for humanity.
