#GhanaAt63: School children rock Shatta Wale’s ‘reign socks’ at Independence Parade

Hate him or Love him – Shatta Wale is still the man of the moment, and his influence in the youth of Ghana is unprecedented.

Today happens to be the biggest date/day on the calendar of every Ghanaian citizen- 6th March, as it is the day we mark our independence day.

The annual celebration is on once again for the 63rd time, and every institution is honouring that in their own way.

As known in basic schools, all schools in districts, municipals, and regions march at a ceremonial parade to commemorate the day.

A photo has surfaced on social media which sees some school children marching while rocking Shatta Wale’s ‘Reign’ branded socks.

The picture is said to have been taken somewhere in Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

It appears Kids love Shatta’s ‘Reign’ merchandise.

The merchandise was influenced by the symbol’s adaptation by numerous fans prior to the release of the dancehall artist’s Reign Album.

There are a variety of branded shirts, boxers, socks, shorts, trousers, and many others with the ‘reign’ symbol.
