Ghana Police reacts to reports of driver of NPP MP Ignatius Baffuor Awuah driving a police car

The Ghana Police Service has reacted to reports of the driver of Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah MP for Sunyani West and Minister for Employment & Labour Relations driving a police vehicle in town.

The incident which occurred around 2:45am is believed to have been backed by an alleged illicit electoral purpose.

He has since been arrested and placed in police custody at the Sunyani East Municipal Police Station.

Speaking on the issue, the Ghana Police Service in a Facebook post disclosed that they are in the process of confirming details of of the incident.

The post read; We are in the process of confirming details of allegations of a civilian driving a Police vehicle. Please all should remain calm. Update will soon be given.
