Ghana Does Not Need Some Ministers – Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu

Delivering a lecture from the perspective of a legislator on a constitutional review in the Ashanti Region, the Majority Leader in Parliament and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs has made a proposal that he thinks, when amended, will help the country as a whole.

According to Osei Kyei, who was speaking at a lecture organized by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, the adoption of the Westminster system will replace a Vice President with a Prime Minister to cut down on costs.

he said:

“As a country, we are keeping time for one main reason.” The fact is that many of our ministers don’t improve our government, which is why we are stuck! .. And isn’t it time for us to include a cap on the number of ministers of state we may have in the Constitution?

“Some members of parliament have recently come into contact with police enforcement.” Speakers before me found a workaround for this. However, recent debates concerning witch hunts have captivated the media. Despite this, the law remains impersonal.
