A young man by the name of Charles Owusu has found himself almost beaten to death by some group of men after he was found to be involved in gay activities.
The young man who was reported to have been a native of Asuofia in the Ashanti region of Ghana was said to have been in a relationship with one Collins Amoah.
The two who were living their love life in secrecy knowing the implications of their actions were safe until people started noticing them and their unusual closeness.
The risk became real in April 2022 when some group of men attacked him and Collins on a park bench, calling them “gay devils,” slapping them and threatening them with a knife.
Police in the area were alerted of the incident which led to their swift intervention and saving of the two gay men.
Father of Charles who also heard about the incident was said to have expressed his shock and disbelief of the issue revealing that he trained his son up in a Christian way and did not expect that of him.
Charles Owusu is currently said to have fled for his life with many claiming he has relocated to Canada over fears of been harmed.
Resident of the town has since revealed that they cause cause harm to him should incase he sets his foot back in the town ever again.
