The images and videos which is trending saw some women carrying pans which were filled with the coloured water on the street.
The choice of color is believed to represent the pollution of water bodies affected by illegal mining.
The yellow sachets signified the transformation of once-clean drinking water into contaminated and unsafe sources, mirroring the dire state of many rivers and streams in mining areas.
The act has led to many heaping praises on the people as they call for more of such projects to be done to enlighten people on the effect of Galamsey.
