There was a backlash after Dwyane Wade referred to one of his sons as his “girl”, and Gabrielle Union jumped in to defend her husband amid the backlash.
Zion Wade, 12, identifies with the LGBTQ community and his parents have been supportive, including his step-mother Gabrielle Union. Back in April, Gabrielle and Dwayne were at the Miami Gay PRIDE parade with Zion to support him.
Well, Dwyane shared a new photo of his son Zion, his wife Gabrielle, and their daughter Kaavia Wade, and wrote: “My girls.”
A number of people felt he was taking things too far by referring to Zion as one of his girls and they criticized him.
One critic shared the photo and wrote: “What y’all think about this?”
And Gabrielle replied: “Looks like love to me. I truly hope that everyone gets the love, support and hugs they deserve. Also Kaav ain’t with the dumb shit. Peace & Blessings good people.”
