Edison Cavani finally apologizes for his racist post

Manchester United’s forward, Edison Cavani has finally apologized for the pinned racist post he made on his Ig page last Sunday.

The soccer star came under a barrage of attacks after he replied a fan who was congratulating him for his brace which earned Man United comeback win against Southampton with the n***a word.

In his apology statement, he wrote;

The message I posted after the match on Sunday was intended as an affectionate greeting to a friend, thanking him for his congratulations after the game,

The last thing I wanted to do was cause offence to anyone. I am completely opposed to racism and deleted the message as soon as it was explained that it can be interpreted differently. I would like to sincerely apologise for this.

Meanwhile, the Football Association will investigate the racist tagged comments of the Uruguay star and he be banned for three matches if he is found guilty.
