EC Orders It’s Officials to accept Admission Letters, Exeat slips and more in Response to Students Vote Transfer Challenges

Ghana’s official election organising body, The Electoral Commission has ordered its officials to accept students’ exeat slips, admission letters and residential addresses.

The Electoral Commission began the Transfer of Votes Exercise yesterday, October 20 to help students and other citiens to vote come December 7. Some Students reported that they were facing certain challenges that were inhibiting their vote transfers to their various constituencies.

After the EC received these reports, it responded and has directed its officials to accept student admission letters, exeat slips and residentials as proof for the exercise.

The Exercise is slated to end tomorrow, October 22.
