According to reports, Mr. Olayiwola Adeleke, Chairman of Iganna Local Council Development Area of Oyo State, has been kidnapped.
A representative of the police has confirmed the report in a recent speech. The representative, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeya also added that the police is doing all that it can to get the Chairman back and to arrest the kidnappers.
“Information reaching me reveals that he was kidnapped along the Ado-Awaye-Iseyin Road. Efforts are being intensified to get him released and arrest the culprits.”; Mr. Fadeyi said.
Chairman Adeleke is said to have been kidnapped together with his driver on his way to a meeting with Governor Seyi Makinde. This happened on the evening of Sunday, October 25.
