The novel coronavirus has taken the life of a Ghanaian professor in the United States of America.
The death of 64-year-old Baffour Takyi was announced by Univeristy of Akron, Ohio, where he teaches.
Takyi died just before Thanksgiving in November after contracting the coronavirus.
“The Ghanaian community in Akron has lost a kindhearted and dedicated mentor,” a fellow Ghanaian professor at the University, Enoch Damson, said in announcing his friend and colleague’s death.
“He offered so much to his family, friends and the African community. Thanksgiving will never be the same without him and I miss his enduring friendship already.”
