Catholic Priest who woke up from coma after being shot by his love rival makes revelation about the reason behind his shooting.
A married man has been charged with attempted murder when he decided to gun down a catholic priest who slept with his wife in France last month.
The suspect who hails from Georgia and with name Georgi P was taken into police custody on Friday and was charged by the court on Sunday because he shot at Nikolaos Kakavelakis, a catholic priest whom he claims had sex with his wife who comes from Russia.
Georgy P’s wife was however was set free without being charged. According to the prosecutor Nicolas Jacquet, the victim was shot twice in the chest area with a shotgun.
Prior to the shooting, many French nationals had blamed it on the recent terrorist attacks by extremist Muslims. The priest however recovered from his gun shot wounds and informed the police that he was shot by his rival in love.
Police identified the catholic priest as a father of two children and a lover of sex and wild adventure with ladies.
The suspect of the crime later told police that he did shoot the catholic priest because he had slept with his wife and therefore his objective was solely to seek revenge and not to commit murder.
