Burna Boy proposes an increase in the salaries of Nigerian Police Officers

Self-proclaimed African-Giant and afro-beats music icon; Burna Boy has proposed that the salaries of police officers in Nigeria should be increased.

According to Burna Boy, the average police salary which ranges between 50/60k ($127) a month should be given a critical second look.

Resorting to his Twitter page to broadcast this suggestion, he tweeted;

It’s a great morning to demand for institutional reform in Nigeria. No reason why a sergeant on the police force earns 50/60k ($127) a month with no benefits! It doesn’t help our plight. #SARSMUSTEND

This proposal came in the wake of ending police brutality and extortion of money from innocent civilians in the country.
