Confirmed information reaching Gossips24.com indicates that top officials of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have arrived at the Supreme Court of Ghanaian to file the party’s petition.
Today, Wednesday December 30, 2020, marks exactly 21 days after the declaration of the Presidential results by EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa.
Per Article 64(1) of the 1992 Constitution, a petition challenging the validity of the election of the President should be filed at the Supreme Court within 21 days after the declaration of the results by the EC.
Meanwhile, the NDC has officially announced its intention to legally challenge the results of the December 7 Presidential election.
Per the exclusive photo available to Gossips24.com, National Communications Officer of the Party, Sammy Gyamfi and minority leader, Haruna Iddrisu were seen hurriedly walking to file their petition after arriving the Supreme Court.
