A very sad piece of information coming in has revealed that leader and presidential aspirant on the ticket of the Ghana Freedom Party(GFP) Maame Akua Donkor has passed away.
Aku Donkor who was known for her humorous ways of expressing herself passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 the age of 83.
The visionary woman who wanted to lead Ghanaians as their first female president was said to have been battling with a respiratory illness prior to her demise.
Kwabena Agyeman Appiah Kubi (Roman Fada), the running mate for the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) revealed that he had spoken with Akua Donkor the day before her demise only to receive a call from her driver that she wasn’t feeling well and had been rushed to the Koforifua hospital.
Speaking during an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz Fm he stated saying;
“I visited her at 1pm yesterday. I was with her and left around 3:30pm to Atinka FM. We were communicating. Then I had a call 10pm last night [that she had passed],” he further noted.
