Blippi is an American children’s entertainer and educator on YouTube and Amazon Video. His real name is Stephen J. Grossman, but most people knew him as Blippi. Blippi is seen chiefly wearing a blue and orange beanie cap, blue shirt, bow tie, and orange suspenders.
Blippi Early Life
Stevin John was born on the 27th of May, 1988, in Las Vegas. John grew up “surrounded by tractors, cows, and horses” in Ellensburg, Washington, and has stated that he wished to be a limousine driver and a fighter pilot as a child.
Stevin John joined the military after graduating from high school. He served in the US Air Force as a loadmaster on the C-17 aircraft in the 4th Nuclear Airlift Squadron.
Although he liked to be in the military, he also longed to be with his family. He formerly said in a video that “I enjoyed being in the military, but I didn’t like the idea of eventually having a family and not being with them for months at a time, so I did my term and decided not to re-enlist.”

The thought of starting Blippi came to Stevin John after moving back to Ellensburg and noticed his two years old nephew viewing videos on YouTube. He realized that there was no children’s content at that time, so he created Blippi, a kid-friendly educational video.
Blippi is well known as “an adult man who dresses up in bright clothes and dances around America’s deserted soft play centers for the benefit of YouTube”.
