A bank employee has been apprehended by the Ghana Police Service in connection with a recent bank heist. This information was exclusively revealed by the Acting Director-General of the Ghana Police Service’s Public Affairs Directorate.
ACP Kwesi Ofori disclosed this information during an interview with Joy News after Ghanaians raised concerns about the current spike in bank robberies.
In the interview, he also divulged that they have begun meeting with banks to discuss security solutions for consumers who come in to conduct business with them.
Last week, at least four robberies in broad daylight were recorded in various locations of the capital. The bandits opened fire in one instance, leaving a bystander with gunshot wounds.
In all of the events, the robbers got off with large sums of money.
