“Azonto died long time” – Kwaw Kese on #BringBackAzonto

CEO of Madtime music, Kwaw Kese has posited that the azonto genre which has caused a fuss on social media and the music industry actually died long ago.

Kwaw Kese made this statement few days after SarkNatives started an agenda to bring back the azonto genre along with its dance.

The movement was humbly endorsed by Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie who openly said he will do a free verse for anyone who will send him an Azonto record.

Kwaw initially disagreed with Sark’s statement as he quizzed how the dancehall musicians were going to survive should azonto be really brought back to life.

The rapper added his voice to the trending topic ahead of the release of his Victory Album, as he revealed the genre has been dead long ago and should be allowed to rest in peace since it is no more relevant.

He wrote; “For once let’s respect the dead wai, #Azonto died long time !!! Let him Rest In Peace”
