Ayikoi Otoo Withdraws From NPP Chairmanship Race

According to Peter Mac Manu in a meeting with the press yesterday, Nii Ayikoi Otoo has withdrawn from the National Chairmanship race.

He is not the only candidate, but the only candidate from the chairmanship race to withdraw. Akosua Serwaa Bonsu – aspirant for national women’s organiser, and Tumfuor Klinsman Karikari – aspirant for national youth organiser, has also withdrawn, according to the NPP head of elections.

In his own words, he said:

However, the honorable Ayikoi Otoo, who was running for the party’s national chairmanship position, has now dropped out of the contest. He has thus pulled out of the race following vetting,”

Akosua Serwaa Bonsu, a candidate for national women’s organizer, Dr. Kwame Afriyie, and Tumfuor Klinsman Karikari, a candidate for national youth organizer, have all dropped out of the contest.
