Asamoah Gyan Enstooled Chief After ‘Losing Black Stars Captaincy’
After being named as the general captain of Black stars, a decision which almost triggered the premature resignation of Baby Jet, Asamoah Gyan, the striker has been given a new title.
Black Stars Striker Baby Jet Gyan has been enstooled as a chief in Hohoe in the Volta region of Ghana.
Gyan is currently the Ngoriya-Doemenyotor of the Gbi traditional area and the St Francis College of Education.
The striker earned this honourable title after he contributed immensely in solving the water crisis in the school.
Gyan constructed a mechanized borehole worth $3,000 through his foundation to help the students who use to walk 2.5 kilometres every day to get water.
In 2017, Asamoah Gyan commissioned a $300,000 Astro-Turf pitch for his alma mater, Accra Academy School.
He has also donated equipment to the Korlebu Teaching Hospital, Ridge Hospital, Mamprobi Polyclinic and Children hospital in Kumasi.
Congrats to Asamoah Gyan on his new role, we wish him well.
