As A Ghanaian, I Don’t Want A Cathedral – Kwesi Arthur Says

In a recent tweet, Ghanaian rapper and singer Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior, better known as Kwesi Arthur (SON OF JACOB), revealed in a recent tweet that he does not want any cathedral.

His comment came off when Joy News posted a comment by Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, and it said:

Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta says government is only spending a little of its annual expenditure to build what he calls a righteous state whilst attaining a key nation transformation component; spirituality.

Government has in the last week been criticized following revelations that nearly 200 million cedis of taxpayers’ money has so far been spent on the National Cathedral project.

The minister has been rejecting claims that the expenditure is not budgeted for. Meanwhile, North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has been at the forefront of public criticism over a Facebook post describing the Finance Minister’s responses as an unmitigated disaster.
