Chief Micheal Johnny who is a leading member of the APC party was lucky over the weekends as his assassins who were supposed to finish him off weren’t able to live up to the task hence the need to kill his driver as a warning to him.
The notorious gunmen murdered the personal driver of the politician who hails from the Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area of the state.
Reports have it that the sad incident happened at Airport Junction, in Effurun, Uvwie council area of the state at about 11:12 am on Sunday, July 4, after the driver and escort dropped the politician’s wife at an undisclosed church.
It has been gathered that the gunmen were alleged to be after Chief Johnny and his wife but they were not in the red Venza Jeep.
A policeman who was in the car with the driver was also shot on his right hand to demobilized him before being shot in the head for the second time by fleeing gunmen.
The killers who were said to have launched the attack in a Yellow Lexus SUV, did not cart away any property including the official rifle of the deceased policeman.
