In the past, the battle for the rap boss had centered around three of Ghana’s finest then – Lord Kenya, Obrafour, and Reggie Rock stone. These three gems held the rap game for a long time before others joined. Apart from the aforementioned rappers, there were equally good ones who later joined the game like C-Zar, Tinny, Edem, Kwaw Kese, Okyeame Kwame, and the likes.
In recent times, the rappers who have also set the bar a bit higher have included the likes of Sarkodie, Manifest, Criss Waddle, Paeday, Yaa Pono, Cabum, Pappy Kojo, FlowkingStone, Joey B, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur, Rap Fada, EL, Strongman Burner, Teephlow, Amerado Burner, Freda Rhymz, and others.
Admittedly, we have all decided that Sarkodie has been a bit higher up there and carved a special niche for himself because of his exploits at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) and other international platforms.
At the moment, there is an insignificant newbie in town who wants to cause commotion with his childish utterances about Ghana’s rap game.
Well, according to the former TV3 Talented Kids rapper, Awal Mohammed, he raps better than all the rappers in Ghana. To him, it’s only Sarkodie who is better than him. So, does it mean the likes of Manifest, Medikal, Strongman, Teephlow, Amerado, Medikal and others are not Awal’s match?
Is this kid serious at all? Does he think rap is a child’s play? I’m even sure my grandmother raps better than this delusional Awal!
Isn’t he hallucinating in his big for nothing head to make such a buffoonish claim?
