The crowning of Kuami Eugene as the king of highlife was for a while the talk of the town and second to Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s fiasco at the VGMA 2019.
Highlife legend Amakye Dede whiles performing with Kuami Eugene on stage at the just ended VGMA 2019 crowned Kuami Eugene as the new King of Highlife.
Kuami Eugene’s crowning got the likes of Dada Hafco and other entertainment pundits angry. However, according to Amakye Dede’s manager, the legend was forced to crown Kuami Eugene.
Reacting to this is highlife Artist Akwaboah, who has revealed that he is not surprised because it was rehearsed and bound to happen.
In an interview with Zionfelix, the Hye Me Bo singer was asked what he thinks about the crowning of Kuami Eugene as King of Highlife.
Akwaboah responded that he will only be worried if he wasn’t a good highlife artist, but he is also not worried because he was there when the whole stunt was being rehearsed before the awards night.
