Captain Smart, a veteran Ghanaian journalist, claims that the NPP has stolen 12.8 million Ghana cedis (equal to 12.8 trillion old currency) since Akufo-Addo took over the presidency from former President John Dramani Mahama in 2016.
Captain Smart revealed this hidden knowledge while criticizing Akufo-Addo for claiming he is not corrupt in comparison to John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The auditor’s general report claims that four billion Ghana cedis (equal to four trillion dollars) were stolen in 2016, the ONUA TV host further averred.
According to him, the amount of money looted increased from $4 billion to $7.455 billion in 2017.
In a Facebook Live, the vociferous political critic additionally stated that the amount of money stolen has increased from 7.455 billion in 2017 to 12.8 billion as of today (equivalent to 12.8 trillion in the old currency).
