Akufo-Addo and Osafo-Maafo have not been infected – Kojo Oppong Nkrumah debunks reports

Earlier, there were rumours that H.E Nana Akufo Addo and senior minister, Yaw Osafo-Maafo have tested positive for coronavirus.

The speculations were based on believes that the two – President Akufo-Addo and Osafo-Maafo – had come into contact with the Norwegian ambassador who was Ghana’s first case of coronavirus.

It was later revealed exclusively by Kevin Ekow Taylor of Loud Silence Media that the aforementioned statesmen had tested positive for the virus but have been covered by the government to show its strength.

However, the minister of information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah at the Ministry’s press briefing this evening debunked the rumours.

He averred the president and the pronounced Ministers have never shown symptoms of the deadly virus let alone test positive.

He advised the media and citizens to use their platforms to encourage the government to help save the situation at hand.

The minister also revealed at the press briefing that 6 patients who tested positive out of the 7 confirmed cases made 308 contacts.
